We are a small, family-run foundation that seeks to improve and preserve heritage, culture, and quality of life. We do this by making selective, targeted grants to organizations and institutions that share our goals and seek to enrich the communities that they are a part of.

The Mission of the Anton Family Foundation is to preserve Heritage, Culture and Quality of Life.

Our History

William and Patricia Anton founded the Anton Family Foundation in 2005. Their goal was to create an entity through which they could give back to the groups, communities and industry that have shaped and enriched their lives. Since then, the Anton Family Foundation has made a number of grants in a wide variety of areas that fall under the AFF’s mission of preserving Heritage, Culture and Quality of Life.

Newport, Rhode Island

Marble House was built between 1888 and 1892 for Mr. and Mrs. William K. Vanderbilt, a summer house, or "cottage", as Newporters called them in remembrance of the modest houses of the early 19th century.

The Anton Family Foundation’s grant to the Preservation Society of Newport County funded the restoration of the faded, damaged or lost textiles in the Ballroom of Marble House.
