Anton Library, Harbor Springs History Museum
Harbor Springs, Michigan
The Anton Family Foundation is proud to sponsor the Anton Library at the Harbor Springs History Museum. The Anton Library will provide a unique resource for research, information and history about the Harbor Springs area.
The Harbor Springs Area Historical Society (HSAHS) was founded in
1990 by a group of concerned citizens committed to preserving the
history of the Harbor Springs area. Soon after its founding, HSAHS
achieved 501(c)(3) status as a charitable and educational non-profit
organization.
Throughout its history, HSAHS has placed a high priority on protecting
our past and maintaining a legacy for future generations. We believe
that conserving our history has become even more important as the area
continues to experience rapid growth and change.
This commitment continues today as HSAHS welcomes visitors to the
new Harbor Springs History Museum. The museum will offer not only
exhibits and displays celebrating our shared history but also an
archives to protect a growing collection of historic photographs and
artifacts, a research library, a genealogy center as well as a
community space for lectures and programs on Harbor Springs' history.
The Anton Family Foundation is proud to support the Harbor Springs Area Historical Society and its mission to maintain, manage and operate an organization to acquire, preserve,
display, and study historical materials, objects and artifacts relating
to the area surrounding Harbor Springs, Michigan.
